Greetings Internet Campus,
Happy Friday everyone! Let's wrap up this week with a verse to store in your heart and some questions to fill that journal. You are journaling aren't you? If not, you probably should. It's just a way to keep all of your thoughts in one place and a tool to go back to when God starts working in your life.
Here's the memory verse...it's the one we've been looking at all week...
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT) 14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
Journal Thoughts:
HUMBLE YOURSELF
1) If your life were a ship...what would God's crew position be? Captain? Co-Captain? Navigator? Engine Room? Guest?
2) Why is letting God be God so hard for us to do?
PRAY
3) Do you pray with the expectation that things will happen? Why or why not?
4) When was the last time you prayed before worrying?
SEEK HIS FACE
5) Why does God tell us to seek His face in the verse above?
6) What does the face reveal that other parts do not?
TURN FROM WICKED WAYS
7) Do you tend to rank sins by their level of severity to make yours not look so bad?
8) How often do you ask for forgiveness for the same sin? Is there a way to prevent that?
Thanks everyone for staying with me this week. I know some of the questions above are tough...I answered them myself. But just know that if we keep working hard to improve ourselves and simplify our spiritual walk...we will be blessed for it.
Please join us online this weekend for another great teaching from Pastor Troy in our "Garage Sale" series...and bring a friend!
Blessings,
Pastor Brian
