Greetings Internet Campus Family,
II Chronicles 32:7 (NLT)
7 “Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side!"
When things fall into crisis in your life, where do you turn? Many of us don't realize that when bad things happen, how we handle them is observed by nearly everyone around us. They don't always want to see how we solve the problem...what they want to see is if we turn to God when things get tough!
The Bible challenges us to live by faith and not by sight...to trust that God is in charge in our lives. As Christians, we are trying to follow Christ's examples of love, peace, grace, and patience. How well we live that out is our legacy...our children and their children will be directly affected by the examples that we leave behind.
It is very easy to tell others "Just give it to God and He'll work it out..." or "Don't worry" ... it is harder sometimes to apply these truths to our own lives. Christians deal with the same stresses that others face...our legacy is taking these stresses, praying over them, and (with faith) leaving them at the foot of the cross for God to handle. People see that...they remember it.
What will your legacy be in terms of your faith? Will people remember you for your faith or for your fear? A challenging question...but one we must answer if we are going to make a commitment to leave our mark on the world for Him.

This was a really great soul-searching topic Pastor Brian! It made me think of my Mom, who is famous for saying "The Lord will work it out", but when He moves to help her she digs her heels into the sand and won't let go of what she sees as her control of the situation - and its fear, isn't it; empty faith?
It really made me take a deep look at myself to see if I am living by true or empty faith...
Knowing the answer is one thing - working on it is another... I hope we can have some more discussion on that aspect in the coming days!
Thanks for leading us in this morning devotion! Have a great day!!!
Nicola
I had one of these moments this morning. I was worrying about something and then thought God doesn't give me anything that I can't handle or that He won't be by my side to face. I'm still awed by the calm that hits me when that realization comes.
