Greetings Internet Campus,
There are so many of us that carry a calendar. I have several. On my iPhone...on my wall...on my laptop...I even let Google organize my events in a calendar...
Funny thing is...I don't know if I'll get to any of that stuff.
"Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring." Prov. 27:1, NLT
I mean, I plan to get to it all. I plan to have lunch with some volunteers...visit with friends...attend a few meetings...but I just can't be sure that I'll be there. Why? Because I can't be sure what those days are going to hold.
Will the sun come up? Will my car start? Will they show up? Will I feel well enough to go? Will Jesus come back? Will I feel like it? I don't know any of this stuff...yet I still make scheduled appointments and to-do's like I am sure of my ability to participate.
My point? You just don't know what tomorrow is going to bring. You have to write down future events to stay organized...just don't abandon what you are doing TODAY. That's all that matters. Right now...what are you doing? What is going to happen in 10 minutes? A lot of us think and worry about the future like any of us can change it...but we can't.
What we have, do, and are in the future is decided by what is happening right now. If we stop to look and brag about what's coming up...we miss the NOW. Live in the now...your stressed out heart and mind will thank you for it!
Write it Down: In your journal, answer this question...do you live in the "now" or the "later"? Ask God to help you focus on what is in front of you rather than fret about what could be.
See you in the morning!
