Wednesday 3-26-08 "Believe"

Greetings Internet Campus,

Have you ever wanted to give up? Throw in the towel? Just flat out quit? I sure have. About 9 years ago. I just wanted to stop the disappointment...the failure. I hurt and nobody seemed to be able to help me. I needed a miracle. Actually, my wife and I did. We were trying to have a baby together. Year after year...nothing. We'd cry on Mother's and Father's days....feel helpless as we'd watch family members get pregnant with yet another child. We'd pray with everything we had to make the situation change.

Sure, I wanted to give up. I thought my miracle wasn't coming.

That's kind of what the disciples must have felt. Their miracle wasn't coming either...Jesus wasn't coming back out of the grave..the enemy had won. There was nothing they could do about it...or so they thought. Turns out...Jesus HAD come back.. He was alive...and He had a plan!

John 20:30-31 (CEV): “Jesus worked many other miracles for his disciples, and not all of them are written in this book. 31But these are written so that you will put your faith in Jesus as the Messiah and the Son of God. If you have faith in him, you will have true life.”

Jesus had come back to perform miracles again! He was going to do so many miracles that there would never be any doubt about His holiness or His power! In addition, all of those benevolent acts of Jesus were done to show the disciples that their faith was well-founded. They, in turn, would tell others...and people would go to Heaven as a result of their newly found belief.

What about you today? Ready to give up praying for that miracle? Think Jesus has stopped doing them? I'm here to tell you...the same Jesus that came out of that grave...is the same Jesus who has big plans for your life... He loves you, protects you, provides for you, and wants you to join Him in Heaven. That's why He came back. Jesus still does miracles so we can put our faith in Him as Messiah. Isn't God awesome?

Brianna Vasil was born in August 1999. Miracles do happen.

Write it Down: Write down the miracle you've been praying for. The same God who came out of the grave is the same One who wants to give you that miracle in His own way. Keep praying for it! Don't give up!

See you tomorrow,
Pastor Brian
